Sprint Burndown Chart

The Sprint Burndown Chart is a visual chart of the rate at which work is completed and how much work remains to be completed.  The customizable Sprint Burndown Template will track your teams burndown progress.  It also contains a separate tab for tracking team velocity and the defect rate.  You can customize it to your liking.

How is it used?

Agile teams use the Sprint Burndown to monitor if they are making progress towards completing their sprint goal.  It gives the team an opportunity to make adjustments if they are behind schedule.  The Sprint Burndown Chart shows the remaining effort left for a given sprint.  The chart slopes downward during a sprint and is very useful to show how much work is remaining for the sprint.
