User Story Template

The User Story is a short simple description of a feature told by an end user.  It is a small chunk of business functionality within a feature that describes desired functionality in narrative form.

How is a User Story used?

User stories represent requirements from the end users perspective. They are written in a first person voice in a specific format:

• As a <insert role or persona here>
• I want <something>
• So that <I get a benefit I want>
