Description
The Work Breakdown Structure is a hierarchical decomposition of the total project scope to be carried out by the project team to satisfy project objectives and to deliver the required deliverables. The Work Breakdown Structure Template provides guidance for how to break down your project work into individual tasks to the lowest level, called work packages.
How is it used?
The Work Breakdown Structure is used to organize and define the project scope and represents the work specified in the Project Scope Statement. It is created by subdividing project deliverables into smaller, more manageable components. The lowest level of the WBS is a work package. The work package is used to group project activities for scheduling and estimation.
